Europa braucht dich – deine Ideen, deine Stimme, dein Engagement!

Am Dienstag, den 23. September 2025, lädt das Institut français Deutschland dich herzlich in die Französische Botschaft in Berlin ein. Dort findet der Utopie-Europa-Preis 2025 unter dem Motto „Teilhabe und Engagement: der Jugend in Europa eine Stimme geben“ statt – und du kannst aktiv mitgestalten!

Was erwartet dich?

Ein Abend voller frischer Ideen, spannender Debatten und echter Mitbestimmung:

Öffentlicher Debattierwettbewerb:

Drei Hochschulteams präsentieren ihre Visionen für ein demokratischeres Europa:

• Hochschule Darmstadt
• Universität Gießen
• Hochschule Fulda

Du im Publikum hast die Wahl! Per Live-Abstimmung entscheidest du mit, welche zwei Teams ins große Finale einziehen – mit der Chance auf eine Reise nach Straßburg!

Offene Fishbowl-Diskussion:

Wie engagieren sich junge Menschen heute in Europa? Welche Formate, Räume und Tools brauchen wir für echte Mitbestimmung? Diskutiere mit Vertreter:innen der Deutsch-Französischen Hochschule, der EU-Kommission und weiteren Expert:innen – oder spring selbst ins Gespräch: Das Fishbowl-Format lebt davon, dass jederzeit jemand aus dem Publikum auf das freie Podium wechseln kann.

Empfang in der Botschaft:

Netzwerken, Austauschen, Anstoßen – zum Abschluss gibt’s einen Empfang in der Französischen Botschaft.

Europe needs you - your ideas, your voice, your commitment!

On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, the Institut français Germany cordially invites you to the French Embassy in Berlin. The Utopia Europe Prize 2025 will take place there under the motto ‘Participation and commitment: giving young people in Europe a voice’ - and you can play an active role in shaping it!

What can you expect?

An evening full of fresh ideas, exciting debates and real participation:

Public debating competition:

Three university teams present their visions for a more democratic Europe:

• Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences
• University of Giessen
• Fulda University of Applied Sciences

You in the audience have the choice! Via live voting, you can help decide which two teams will make it to the grand final - with the chance to win a trip to Strasbourg!

Open fishbowl discussion:

How do young people get involved in Europe today? What formats, spaces and tools do we need for real co-determination? Discuss with representatives of the Franco-German University, the EU Commission and other experts - or jump into the conversation yourself: the fishbowl format thrives on the fact that someone from the audience can switch to the open podium at any time.

Reception at the Embassy:

Networking, exchanging ideas, toasting - the event will conclude with a reception at the French Embassy.
