Was ist DAAD RISE Weltweit?

Das Programm vermittelt weltweit Forschungspraktika für Studierende der Natur-, Lebens- und Ingenieurwissenschaften. Es richtet sich speziell an Bachelor-Studierende, die in der vorlesungsfreien Zeit ein 1,5- bis 3-monatiges Praktikum im Ausland absolvieren möchten. Dabei arbeitest du direkt mit Doktoranden oder Forschern in akkreditierten universitären Instituten und Forschungseinrichtungen zusammen. Die Arbeitssprache ist in der Regel Englisch, was dir auch die Möglichkeit gibt, deine Sprachkenntnisse zu vertiefen.

🌟Wer kann sich bewerben?

Studierende im Bachelor, Diplom oder Staatsexamen aus den Bereichen Natur- und Ingenieurwissenschaften, Medizin, Psychologie und Informatik.

📅Wann ist die Bewerbungsfrist?

• Für Praktika weltweit (außer Kanada): Die Bewerbungsfrist läuft vom 15. Oktober bis zum 30. November 2025.
• Für Praktika in Kanada (via Mitacs Globalink): Die Bewerbungsphase ist von 7 August bis zum 18 September 2025.

🌍Wann findet das Praktikum statt?

Die Praktika dauern 6 bis 12 Wochen und finden im Sommer 2026 statt.

• Eine monatliche DAAD-Stipendienrate
• Eine einmalige Reisekostenpauschale 
• Eine Kranken-, Unfall- und Haftpflichtversicherung

Are you dreaming of gaining international research experience during your studies? Would you like to get to know the academic world beyond Germany's borders? Then the DAAD RISE Worldwide program might be just the thing for you!

What is DAAD RISE Worldwide?

The program offers research internships for students of natural, life, and engineering sciences around the globe. It is specifically aimed at bachelor's students who want to complete a 1.5- to 3-month internship during the semester break. You will work directly with Ph.D. students or researchers at accredited university institutes and research facilities. The working language is usually English, which also gives you the chance to improve your language skills.

🌟Who can apply?

Students from universities and universities of applied sciences in the fields of natural and engineering sciences, medicine, psychology, and computer science.

📅When is the application period?

• For worldwide internships (excluding Canada): The application period runs from October 15 to November 30, 2025.
• For internships in Canada (via Mitacs Globalink): The application phase is from August 7 to September 18, 2025.

🌍When do the internships take place?

Internships last 6 to 12 weeks and will take place in the summer of 2026.
