Beschleunigte Biotechnologie fördert nachhaltige Wirtschaft
Universität Bielefeld koordiniert neues Kompetenzzentrum
Das
CLIB-Kompetenzzentrum Biotechnologie (CKB) ist ein
standortübergreifendes Verbundprojekt für eine nachhaltige,
ressourcenschonende Wirtschaft in Nordrhein-Westfalen. Das Besondere
dabei: Die biotechnologischen Vorgänge sollen beschleunigt werden. Die
Europäische Union und das Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Innovation,
Digitalisierung und Energie des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen haben das CKB
nun bewilligt und fördern es mit einer Gesamtsumme von mehr als 8
Millionen Euro für drei Jahre. Beteiligt an dem Projekt sind neben dem
Centrum für Biotechnologie (CeBiTec) der Universität Bielefeld die
Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf, die Technische Universität
Dortmund und das Forschungszentrum Jülich. Professor Dr. Volker F.
Wendisch von der Universität Bielefeld koordiniert das Projekt. Die
Detmolder Bezirksregierungspräsidentin Marianne Thomann-Stahl hat den
Bewilligungsbescheid heute (07.05.2018) an der Universität Bielefeld
überreicht.
